I have an APC UPS connected to my Windows 2000 Server. Since manually shutting down my server during a power outage (the server was running off battery), I am recieving an error message regarding the UPS service not being configured correctly. The entry in the event logs is as follows: Event ID: 2481 Description:

After installing, trying out, and uninstalling an Antivirus program I lost the UPS service on my SBS 4.5sp4 machine. The correct configuration (com port etc.) shows up in Control Panel but when I try and start the service it returns an error code 0003, service cannot start, specified path can't be found.

Questions about UPS Settings
I think I will just call their UPS nation-wide 800-742-5877 number and complain. Any other ideas how to handle it? Any other United Parcel Service experiences? I wonder how stuff gets delivered if most people are not home during their normal delivery (9-5) hours? What do other people do about it?

If the UPS company treats its employees the same way it treats it's customers, no wonder they are on strike! I have always found the Postal Service does a much better job.
